A place at your table for 80 years.

Things have changed a lot since 1937, but one thing has always been a comforting constant: the quality, consistency and tastiness of Morey’s seafood. We’re proud to say that Morey’s has always had a place at America’s table. And to celebrate the products, partners and people who’ve made us great, we’re taking a look at how our milestones have coincided with other big events.


The Golden Gate Bridge opens to pedestrian traffic.

Moreys Timeline 1937

A fish truck breaks down in Motley, Minnesota, and Ed Morey gets the idea to swap some corn in order to buy and smoke the fish. A Minnesota icon is born.


"Walk Like an Egyptian" becomes the number-one song of the year.

With Motley, Minnesota, already manufacturing Morey’s retail lines, Morey’s opens its Golden Valley Distribution Center. This center takes Morey’s into another line of business by servicing the Twin Cities with a full line of seafood for buyers.


"Titanic" wins the Oscar® for Best Picture.

Morey’s expands from its well-known smoked salmon line into the “ready to cook” marinated salmon business.


Nintendo releases its first Wii video game console.

Morey’s Wild Alaska Sockeye Salmon wins the Alaska Symphony of Seafood Grand Prize.


Two billion people around the world tune in to watch the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Morey’s Fish Creations is named Best New Product by Better Homes and Gardens.


The New England Patriots complete the greatest Super Bowl comeback of all time to beat the Atlanta Falcons 34-28.
