Smoked Fish Hash

Preparation Time: 30 minutes

Number of Servings: 6


  • 1┬ácup of Morey’s Smoked Fish
  • 6 slices of bacon
  • 2 cups sweet potato, small dice
  • 2 cups red potato, small dice
  • 1/2 small white onion
  • 2 TBS chopped parsley
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 TSP pepper
  • 1/2 cup water
  • paprika to taste
  • additional smoked fish as garnish


  1. Remove skin and flake fish
  2. Fry bacon until crisp in a deep sided pan
  3. Place bacon in absorbent paper and crumble
  4. Combine bacon, potatoes, onion, parsley, fish and pepper
  5. Place fish mixture in hot bacon fat, carefully add water on top
  6. Cover and cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes
  7. Stir mixture and cook for another 5-10 minutes or until lightly browned, stir occasionally
  8. Use additional smoked fish and paprika as garnish

**Serve with green vegetable side dish.
